Before becoming a home or garden accent piece, our tin had a life protecting an old barn or house. The wood used in our birdhouses also comes from the old structures having once been exterior siding or interior walls. Once a design is conceptualized, a pattern is made and traced onto the tin. Each piece is individually cut. Necessary parts are assembled and the painting process begins. The primary background color is applied and each piece is individually hand detailed to the finished product. All paints are exterior which allows indoor or outdoor use. As the natural aging process occurs spot rusting and slight variations in surface finish may create a pleasing antique patina. Many of the designs are artists' interpretations of antique pieces as well as replications of antique designs. |
